Who's Who at the Rescue

Judy Miotke

PAL+ Program Administrator

Judy began working for FCCRSNC in August 2007 as the spay/neuter clinic receptionist and shortly thereafter moved to a position working more directly with the rescued cats at the shelter. Over the next three-and-a-half years she performed the duties of both Client Services Representative and Animal Care Technician, switching hats as needed to meet the demands of the growing organization. In July 2011, Judy took on the role of Outreach Coordinator, providing humane education to the community and spreading the word about the Prevent A Litter Plus (PAL+) program and the importance of spay/neuter. Her efforts helped to increase awareness of PAL+ to the point that the program needed a dedicated staff member to process the growing stack of applications. In spring 2012, Judy became FCCRSNC's first PAL+ Coordinator, finally allowing her to put her B.S. in Human Development from Colorado State University to work for the benefit of both humans and animals. The skills she developed in the 1990s while working as an income maintenance tech for the Aid to the Needy Disabled program at Larimer County Department of Social Services have translated perfectly to her position interviewing PAL+ applicants to determine eligibility.
