Jane Seik Memorial Endowment

Provided by CoolFundraisingIdeas.net

As Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic grows, we take steps to secure our organization financially with the expectation that our services will be needed for a long time to come. To this end, we are working toward opening an endowment fund with the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado, in honor of one of our first volunteers, Jane Seik (read more about this very special person below). To honor Jane's memory and further stabilize our organization, it is our goal to raise $10,000, the minimum necessary to open the endowment. The money earned through the Jane Seik Memorial Endowment will help us continue providing shelter and adoption for over 2,000 homeless cats and kittens each year.

Help us reach our $10,000 goal and open an endowment in Jane Seik's honor by clicking "Donate Now" below. (To arrange a donation of stocks or mutual funds, please contact Director of Development Jane Barber by e-mailing Jane@fccrsnc.org)

About Jane Ellen Warner-Seik

October 31, 1937 ~ March 22, 2013
Jane Seik was a critical part of Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic's success from the very beginning and was an extremely active volunteer for over six years, until succumbing to cancer in March of 2013. She was one of our first volunteers, and was unquestionably the most dedicated. Jane fulfilled myriad volunteer responsibilities, from adoption counseling to caring for orphaned kittens that required around-the-clock attention. She helped the organization in every possible way, working as the clinic receptionist, fostering, and even washing dishes and scrubbing litter boxes. Jane and her husband Larry fostered over 45 cats for FCCRSNC and adopted several special needs kitties. She was a woman of great compassion, and a force to be reckoned with. She was presented with the FCCRSNC Above & Beyond Award in 2012, and her strength, wisdom, dedication, and love for the kitties will always be an inspiration.
